It finally released! It has been a long long wait for me. Clash of the Titans, based on the 1981 film of the same title, took on the 3D bandwagon to recreate the magic of Greek mythology. I will not talk about the story, neither will I give out any hints here that might spoil your movie experience.
Clash of the Titans 3D is a classic. Although I felt that 3D effects could have been better at times but the movie is like a complete balanced meal. It leaves you hungry for more and by the time you leave the cinema hall you smile at the person collecting your 3D glasses for you’ve had your money’s worth.
Clash of the Titans is a movie you don’t want to take your girlfriend along, nor your mother, father, kids or in fact anyone who might freak out at Greek gods and their cool ways. Bring along a friend who’s into this and you’ll enjoy the ride.
Clash of the Titans was originally supposed to release in March 2010 but then it was decided to convert it into 3D and postpone the release. So you know the movie wasn’t really made keeping 3D in mind. But still it’s a pretty awesome watch.
I’m not really a big fan of Sam Worthington but he’s done a great job overall. Perseus did manage to bring out the wow factor here but I felt Andromeda deserved a sexier body. I felt Gemma Arterton who played Io was hotter than the Princess. But then she was neither a God nor a human. In Indian mythology she’d be a pari (fairy).
Clash of the Titans 3D is a one-time must-see. Once you all get 3D LED/LCD TVs in your home, this is one collector’s item you’d wanna bring home apart from classics like Avatar. My next stop is the neighborhood video library for the 1981 film.
