Google’s Nexus One is taking the heat as it’s users have now started complaining about certain problems with Nexus One. Google might lose customers due to the lack of direct support channels as provided by other mobile phone manufacturers to it’s users. I bet users are missing the direct call to support option for Nexus One. Google has sold around 20,000 Nexus One phones in it’s initial launch period.
Some of the Nexus One users have complained about certain issues that affect the smartphone device and they’re desperately seeking help across various channels. One of my friend in the US who has bought a Nexus One claims he’s being pushed off from manufacturer HTC to Google and then to the mobile service provider and the loop goes on.
Nexus One problems currently comprise of issues such as;
1. Touchscreen calibration issues
2. 3G connectivity issues
3. Minor issues that temporarily resolve themselves
4. Support issues
Users with touchscreen calibration issues have reported that their devices face the issue after a cold reboot of the Nexus One device. 3G connectivity issues can be resolved simply using proper support channels. There are certain issues that users claim tend to resolve themselves for a brief period of time and at times revert back. Of course most of the users have reported a total support failure using online support forums initiated by Google.
So how can you resolve your Nexus One issues, complaints and unsolved queries?
1. First of all I’d suggest everyone to go through the online troubleshooting guide issues by Google . We all keep the manual as the last resort since reading instructions turns us off and we tend to be a go getter by trying to resolve issues on our own. It works sometimes, not always. So read the troubleshooting guide for Nexus One.
2. Second, if your problem is not resolved using the online guide then you can contact Google about the issues you’re facing with your Nexus One device by filling up an online form . Make sure you enter all details correctly.
3. While you’re waiting for Google to respond to you personally about your Nexus One issue you can use the online help forums for Nexus One . These support forums can be best for solving common problems for which most users or Google’s staff has an answer for. Browse the support forums to look for people having similar problems with Nexus One before posting yours in a new thread.
4. You can contact Nexus One hardware manufacturer HTC for specific issues which Google might not be able to resolve totally. These generally appear to be hardware related problems with Nexus One. HTC has setup a dedicated page for all Nexus One customers here.
5. For network related issues with Nexus One such as 3G connectivity problems or EDGE issues, you can contact the mobile service provider T-Mobile here.
In case nothing still works out for you, try contacting Google once again. Users report a simple reboot at times resolves minor issues. If only it could be that simple for all of us!
Update: Google has now launched phone support for solving all your Nexus One problems. You can simply call 888-48-NEXUS (63987) to talk to a Google support executive in case you are having any problems with your Nexus One device.
