iPhone OS 4.0 Features Are Out!

in Tech

It seems like iPhone OS 4.0 features are already out, thanks to the good folks at BGR. Apple iPhone OS 4.0 is all set to come out and is believed to be a close companion, if not the same thing, to the OS used by Apple in their tablet a.k.a iSlate. There’s also a report that Apple might be naming it’s tablet iTablet instead of the much talked about iSlate. Anyways that’s a different discussion, as of now some of the iPhone OS 4.0 features which have been confirmed include;

1. Multi-tasking (running apps in the background)
2. Muti-touch gesture
3. Improved user interface
4. iPhone OS 4.0 update shall be only for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. The update is supposed to bring iPhone another step closer to being computers themselves.
5. New ways to sync contacts and calender

While Apple’s fourth generation iPhone release is due this April-May, I’m sure iPhone OS 4.0 update shall be only available once it is released. Features such as multi-tasking and OS wide multi-touch will bring Apple iPhone in close touch with the tablet itself. So what’s more convenient? A tiny tablet that’s a phone also or just a little bigger tablet that is more powerful in terms of computing power. Which one would you go for?
