Is Project Natal the future of gaming?

Microsoft wants ‘you’ to be the controller, that’s how they wowed everyone at E3 conference earlier this year. Microsoft calls it Project Natal. It is expected to to be available worldwide by November 2010. It’ll be launched along with 14 games and, hold on to your horses, will be priced at around $80-100. Yes you got that right! Apart from the price there’s more to Natal that is worth the year long wait, the no-controller-at-all scenario.

Natal is like Nintendo Wii without the milky Wii-remote. So finally a gaming console that’ll set you free from wires and controllers entirely. The true 1-to-1 motion tracking system enables the console to capture your every movement in front of the screen. You wave, the avatar on the screen waves, you get into a Ramdev-style yoga pose and it’ll follow you exactly. This is no doubt the future of gaming. Imagine entering your room when you’re back from college or office, exhausted, in the mood for a little game and this handsome little console senses your mood, you wave your arm telling the console to start your favorite game and there you go! Top game publishers have already agreed to design games on this platform. The future of gaming is here guys!
