Infibeam Pi – The Desi Amazon Kindle

in Tech

infibeam piAt a time when I believe Amazon Kindle might be having nightmares about the much dreaded Apple Tablet launch, here’s a desi challenge. Infibeam, an Indian online shopping portal, has announced an e-book reader called Infibeam Pi. The new e-book reader looks very similar to Amazon’s Kindle which has been around for a while now. Infibeam is now taking pre-orders for it’s Pi device at Rs. 999 (around $20). The device is priced at Rs. 9999 (around $220).

Infibeam Pi is a slim and light e-book reader. It supports major Indian regional languages such as Hindi, Sanskrit etc. The company claims the device can store up to 500 e-books using it’s internal memory of 512 MB. Infibeam Pi has a SD car slot as well. You can store and listen to your music as well, Pi features a 3 mm stereo earphone connector (3 mm is strange, I’ve seen 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm but 3 mm? Anyways it could be a typo as well). I’ve shot the company a mail about this. The battery can run up to 7 days if left idle and comes with a charging time of 4 hours. The major let down is the screen. The screen is a 6″ E Ink® Vizplex with no backlight.

2010 porsche boxter

When you look at a Porsche and then you look at a hot chick, your eyes automatically turn back to the sexy Porsche. The 2010 Porsche Boxster is a super class in itself. I think I’ll marry the girl who’ll buy me a 2010 Porsche Boxster. The seven-speed automatic transmission runs thought control which was developed by Russians first for a fighter jet. Talk about power and the 310 horsepower along with 266 pound-feet torque has got my jaws wide open. The only pitfall is the $47,600 price tag, something my mother won’t approve of. Only if Obama could grant me a work visa for another couple of years and I’ll be able to make it by saving money and living in a cave. Love you Porsche Boxter!
