MISTAKES MAKETH MAN- but his own !!!

in Life

mistakes maketh man

A kid, about six yrs old came home crying. After being asked what happened he told that he tripped over the stones on the road while playing and got hurt badly. His mother caressed the poor soul and just to make him feel better assured him that she would take care and ask the stones and the road, and beat them up. The child smiled again. This entire episode was witnessed by the child’s 12 yr old brother. He too was feeling bad as his younger brother got hurt. Both of them got a friendly lecture from mom regarding staying away from the road as vehicles run there and can be dangerous….!

Exactly after a week the elder brother and his friends were playing on the same road again. The child had completely forgotten what his mother had told him. He was busy playing like nothing else in the world ever mattered at the moment. Suddenly he was about to catch the ball, unknowingly he came in front of the car and got badly hurt. Though timely medical help saved him but this incident taught him what his mother actually meant.

This, this second child is what we all are…! We are always told zillions and zillions of times to learn from the mistakes someone else has committed. This concept of learning from others’ mistakes is totally hypothetical. It must have been given by some loser who always had the habit of putting every blame on others. Two people put in the same situation, commit the same mistake, say misuse the office telephone. One gets caught, situation gets extreme and gets fired. The same person won’t ever repeat it again if ever he joins somewhere else. He knows what it is to get fired. He is the one who has taken all that on him. The other person will still be repeating the same mistake unless caught and action is taken upon him.
When someone else is going through an agony, due to some wrong deed of his, we do think for a moment about never ever doing the same…! But do we really care and even remember after few days what happened with the other person? NEVER!

The whole idea of learning from others mistakes is so lame and be-fooling. Our own mistakes, what we learn from them makes us what we are. If I ever fail in a task then only I’ll know how it feels. I will do everything to succeed in the next attempt. Someone else failed….well I don’t think I can ever feel the same like him or even can get inspired to work hard. So if the whole idea is relying on one’s own self and learning from it, then why depend on others? Why wait for others to commit mistakes for you to learn when at the end what you are getting is absolutely nothing….! Life is a whole sole learning experience right from the cradle to the grave. So c’mon my friend life is too short, start committing mistakes and learn from them. A bad mistake is always a good learning experience!
