MTNL Broadband service TriBand has reduced it’s pricing for various broadband tariff plans. MTNL is all set to kick some major ass in the broadband service provider segment. At a time when TRAI is all screwed up with it’s broadband policy issues, MTNL’s price reduction could provide a much needed lifeline for broadband users in major metros. MTNL broadband has reduced it’s unlimited data transfer packages from Rs. 799 per month to Rs. 599 per month for a 256 kbps broadband connection. It is also providing 100 free calls with the same tariff plan. A very smart plan offered by MTNL faces a rotten egg right on the face with another tariff plan introduced by MTNL. The new plan provides the user with a speed of upto 2 mbps for only Rs. 99 per month. But wait! Don’t rush to the MTNL office yet, the plan includes a data cap of just 150 MB. So it evens out the whole thing. Some dumb asses as well as some smart people reside at MTNL Broadband. MTNL has also reduced registration charges by Rs. 100 and Modem security by Rs. 200.

Currently Airtel offers a 256 kbps unlimited broadband connection for Rs. 799. BSNL Broadband service Dataone offers the same for Rs. 750. Airtel could feel the heat in the metros served by MTNL Broadband. Airtel is expected to reduce it’s prices as well. People would obviously opt for MTNL as there’s a price difference of almost Rs.200 along with free 100 local calls. Way to go MTNL Broadband!

The lone heavy spammer, using email service in all countries, sent a billion emails every minute. Spam in our inboxes swelled up from 50 a day to 600 a day.
I began SPAM THE SPAMMER crusade on 04 March 2010. On 08 April 2010, I located this LONE heavy spammer using spry.com USA in bulk - the account was terminated on my complaint. On my first complaint, many accounts were terminated every hour. During recent days, he has been signing up debut accounts in new countries. Since 14 April SEVEN indian companies - RelianceTheCancer Sancharnet TataCom Railtel Airtel cert-in.org.in Vodafone - visibly came to rescue of dying world email spam. On 19 April the master spammer - hard disk harvester roped in Novanet first and then MTNL to make rescue team total nine. From circumstances, master spammer appears to be kin of either a minister or TRAI/DOT Chief in India.
The emails received have links which do not produce any page/error page. While victim waits for something to happen, image of hard disk is transmitted to spammer. He may be targeting bank passwords and precious software.
  • MTNL is a sister concern company of BSNL and comes under Central Govt... The customer base of MTNL is nearly 5.92 million. And from past few years the graph is going down even if the Indian Govt. is spending too much of huge amount to uplift the customer base, but still the graph is going down and the main reason is their “GREAT SERVICES”. The MTNL lineman don’t have enough idea to configure even a modem and to solve a single complaint they take nearly 1 month or more because the don’t have enough workforce and the coverage area is very big. And when you see the MTNL exchange you become shocked to see their exchange, made of HUWIA equipments, and when you see the AIRTEL exchange you will find Ericson equipments just because the cost of HUWAI equipments are nearly half then Ericson.
    Basically they have two type of exchange one is for 256 Kbps and one for above 256Kbps, if you buy plan for above 256 then you may get good response because for that only they use Ericson exchange.
    I don’t know why the Govt. change the plan to get more customer and spend a huge amount in ads, the salary of lineman is nearly 15000/-, I think this is a total waste. Customers are very much frustrated from MTNL. If you visit the MTNL exchange you will find many customers shouting on the Area Manager. MY personal experience with MTNL was pathetic and now I switched to another services provider and now I am very much satisfied.

    I was also having the conection in dwarka, and i personally sugest all of you to do not go for MTNL in dwarka, I paid nearly 712 pm, and in whole month it worked only 15 days. I contacted AM many times but no use.
    Even I approched consumer court and file case against them and its more then 4 months still the case is pending, apart from this i also filed in their website http://www.consumercourt.in/br... , I am a lawyer and personally suggest everyone not to buy this, they don’t know the importance of internet. :(

    I made lots of complaints in MTNL to increase my speed but then everything is failed.I made lot of complaints to
    1)MTNL call center
    2)Local MTNL center
    at least 100 times .but they are least bother about our complaints…..everytime they said me “problem will be solved within 2 hours” 45 days are already gone but my problem is as it is.
    Hear I would like to mention name of irresponcible officer in dahisar MTNL

    I have taken 512kbps plan costing around 1599/but speed which I m getting is 52/kbps.

    I disconnected my MTNL-Delhi (vikaspuri) Broadband connectivity in June2009 because it was simply disgusting.
    Despite of irregular connectivity complaints their response was worst of its kind and later for three months continuously absolute no-connectivity and they billed as usual regularly and shamelessly.

    mtnl internet sucks ......... it gets disconnected every 5-10 mins ..... and wen u ask them y .... they jus ignore u .... i suggest go for sum good broadband if u really need a hardcore unplugged net service !!!

    TRIBANDPRICES SLASED .THE TABLE ON THE NET IS TOO SMALL TO READ. THERE SHOULB A OPTION TO ENLARGE IT, FOR BETTER VIEW.THE TABLE SHOULD BE SUITABLE TO ENLARGE AND CLEAR LETTERS ETC.

    Thanks a lot to mtnl broadband services for slashing prices. I humbly request to the mtnl higher authorities to increase 10 hours to 20 monthly hours. And the 849 plan may kindly be changed to night and day unlimited for home, educational and non commercial organisations. The maximum prescribed limit may kindly be increased to 2 GB instead of 1 GB for every plan. my other suggesitions are as under.
    1) online notes for setteing up broadband server and TCP etc
    2) immediate or online help to the customers to save the time
    of mtnl staff.
    3) phone No 1504 for the prompt response to the
    customers.One will have to wait half an hours for
    response & immediate solutions to the customers problems.
