2011 – Resolutions

in Life

2011project

I hardly keep any new year resolutions. This year I’ve decided to finally get into the habit of setting my lazy arse on fire to make sure I achieve the goals I set for myself. Also, I need to make sure the targets I set for myself are realistic, fun and something I always wanted to do. To make things easier for me I am going to break down my entire resolution into a set of 12 simple goals (one for each month). Each goal would be possible to achieve by following a certain obvious path of targets. Again, I am not aiming to set foot on the moon.

In order to stay away from a possible clutter chaos I am not going to define all the goals right at the beginning. In fact I will choose the start and the finish spots so it’s easier to carve out the path of goals that lead to the ultimate finishing point. The first and last days of the month need to be spent on setting clear goals and assessing what all got done respectively. What remained impossible to be completed can of course be pushed forward into the next month.

Sugary is what all I said above sounds like even while I am typing this. It is so easy to get carried away and not follow what all I am thinking of doing during 2011. So let’s come up with a way to make sure I don’t lose it somewhere in the middle. I’ll apply a generous and highly rewarding personal game mechanics scheme (more details in the next post). The month all the targets are achieved, I’m in for a super treat for myself. And so on.

I may sound too awkward or God-like if you go through my brain right now but I’m really pepped up to make the most of the very little time I have (no I’m not dying, not that I know about). With the kind of life that I see for myself in the coming years, a whole lot needs to be done at a really fast pace and with a very limited time span. This would mean – more reading, more blogging, more studying, more learning (yes it’s different from studying), more eating and more of everything.

2011, here I come!
