What you’ll need?
1/2 kg Chicken (Cut into pieces)
4 Onions
2 Tomatoes
Ginger/Garlic Paste
MDH Chicken Masala (Any brand would do!)
Salt, red chilly powder, garam masala
Cooking oil
1/2 Cup Fresh Cream
How to go about it?!
Wash the chicken pieces and keep them aside.
Cut onions into big pieces, remember you don’t have to chop them down totally, just cut down an onion into four pieces. Same with the tomatoes.
Add some cooking oil in a pressure cooker and heat it. Add onion pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add tomatoes and cook on high heat for 2 minutes.
Now put the contents from your pressure cooker into a mixer/blender.
Now add some cooking oil in the pressure cooker and transfer the contents from the mixer/blender back into the pressure cooker.
Add ginger/garlic paste and cook for a few minutes on medium heat.
Add salt, red chilly powder, garam masala, chicken masala and very little haldi (optional) and keep stirring.
Now add about half a cup for fresh cream into the pressure cooker and stir well until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Add the chicken pieces into the gravy now and stir well.
Cook for a few minutes until the gravy has completely mixed well with the chicken. Do not add water.
Now cover the pressure cooker with the lid and let it cook for 5-6 minutes in low heat.
Your butter chicken is all ready! Serve hot with tandoori rotis/naan etc. and Coke!
