I’m not really the kind of guy you’ll find doing technology based posts on this blog. I’m more of an admirer of natural beauty. Of course cosmetics don’t kill! Anyways let’s not shift our focus on women with cosmetics and let’s check out Sony’s super cool VAIO P series netbooks which Sony claims is the new ‘pocket style PC’. Netbooks are most definitely the ‘in’ thing these days. I see a lot of people carrying netbooks around. It’s cool too. You can surf the net, work on documents, presentations etc. and it looks sleek. What else? It won’t make love to you of course. For God sake it’s just a netbook!

The marketing campaign has been launched in full swing by Sony India. I’ve seen a lot of really sexy Sony VAIO P ads on TV. You should admire the girl in the video. Such great cushion for the Sony VAIO P. Oh God! I really wish I was a netbook.

If you’re curious about the specifications, here’s a sneak look at what Sony’s pocket style PC offers. The main features include;

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic
Intel Atom Processor 1.6/1.33GHz
8″ UWXGA display
2GB DDR2 RAM
WLAN 802.11b/g
Weight – 620gm

The smart arse VAIO P comes in two basic models. One is a higher end model,slightly lighter in weight, which is priced at about INR 65,000 and the other one is priced at INR 50,000 in India. So Sony VAIO P could cost you more than a fully featured laptop. What to do? Take my advice. Admire the girl in the ad and try and spot her out there in the real world. Do give her my regards once you manage to spot her. If I buy a Sony VAIO P, I’ll definitely need her. For the cushion of course!
