Apple has launched the next generation of iPod Shuffle. The new iPod Shuffle has a memory of 4GB and as per Apple’s claims it’s still the World’s smallest portable music player. What’s new here is that the Apple iPod Shuffle now talks to you!

First, the music controls have been moved to the ear bud cord. So that has enabled Apple to make the Shuffle so small. 4GB of storage lets you store around 1000 songs on your Shuffle. The famous Shuffle clip is still there and it now comes in a stainless steel version for a stronger grip around your jacket, t-shirt etc.

What’s really cool here is what Apple calls VoiceOver. The new iPod Shuffle 4GB does the talking by letting you know what songs and artists you’re listening to and also announces names of the playlists on your Shuffle. Now that’s like having another girlfriend. VoiceOver also speaks multiple languages. Also when your battery goes low, VoiceOver will let you know that it’s time to recharge. Sweet isn’t it?!
The new iPod Shuffle 4GB is priced at around $79 on Apple’s online store. It should be available worldwide in the coming few weeks.
