No I’m not a Himesh Reshammiya fan but I must admit that I really like some of his songs. I do listen to some of his tracks once in a while. All sad ones. I don’t think he’s a real singer. It’s just that somehow the voice coming out of his nasal chamber matches the music in the background along with some well penned down lyrics. It’s been a while since he came out with that kind of noise…err…I mean music. After all this time one expects an iota of quality from him at least. After his last movie Aap Ka Suroor flopped badly at the box-office, Himesh is out with a brand new flick Karz. Karz has been produced by T-Series. The film has been directed by Satish Kaushik. The film is slated for a Diwali release.
Coming back to the music of Karz, I must say everyone is going to feel really disappointed. Himesh fails miserably as far as the music of Karz goes. The tracks don’t have any special flavor. The lyrics are mediocre to say the least. The music isn’t up to the mark. And Himesh sucks as far as singing goes. The title track Lut Jaaon Lut Jaaon includes a rip off of the track Punjab by Karunesh. Although Himesh hasn’t made any use of his horific nasal chamber in this soundtrack, he still manages to piss off a lot of music lovers. Tracks like Masha Allah, Sisak Sisak Ke, Soniye Je Tere are all pure noise. Tandoori Nights is the worst track I have ever heard. I understand a usual Bollywood soundtrack needs one masala item track but this is just way too much. Tandoori Chicken should sue Himesh for using their trademark in this song and trying to cash in on it’s popularity. Dhoom Tere Ishq Ki and Tere Bin Chain Na Aave almost qualify for Bhajans. Ek Haseena Thi is tolerable upto a certain extent. If you bought this CD from a music store you might as well throw it away or donate it to an auto-rikshawallah!
Himesh Reshammiya should be banned by the Central Government. We can’t tolerate the noise anymore. Wait! The wedding season is almost here. I’m afraid the desi wedding DJs would be playing his music all over. Ahhh!!!
